Witnessing the Gospel to Central Virginia
and the Shenandoah Valley
Announcements and News
From the latest Lampada (pdf here):
The 2008 Festival of the Book effort was the easiest (and some might say the most successful) yet! Thanks to Carrie Frost, Alexandra Schmalzbach, Chris Harrison and Pani Christine Holet for their work in bringing Dr. Vigen Guroian into our midst once again.

Fr. Robert and Vigen Guroian
Dr. Guroian, author, theologian and gardener, spoke on the afternoon of March 26 in a beautiful venue well-suited for the topic – gardening and spirituality. UVa’s Colonnade Club includes a drawing room, veranda and semi-circular garden – what better place to talk about our attempts to move about in God’s creation?
Dr. Guroian will be joining the UVa faculty in the Fall of 2008. We are excited about his presence in our community and we will hopefully be seeing more of him in the months to come.
Our SS Cyril and Methodius Bookstore has some of Dr. Guroian’s books available for purchase and, who knows? The author may be available at some point for a book signing!
